Depending on what food you’re in the mood for, here are a few places to check out:
L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge
BBQ ribs and chicken served up with a pint of beer. The restaurant is designed to appear as if you are eating in an old lodge down by the lake. It’s a very relaxed feel.
Scoozi
Located in the River North district, this Italian eatery has been serving up great food since the 80s. Wine Spectator magazine routinely awards the restaurant for their extensive wine list.
Café Ba-Ba-Reeba
If tapas are your thing, head down to Chicago’s original Spanish-cuisine restaurant. Since the restaurant’s opening in 1991, chef and part owner Gabino Sotelino has been offering up great-tasting food without fail. Between the food and the colorful décor, you’re sure to enjoy your dinner here.
Wildfire – Steaks, Chops & Seafood
For jazz and a juicy steak, Wildfire is the place to go. More like a 1940s nightclub than a steakhouse, this place will have you tapping your toes as you eat your meal. It’s a great place to go with friends to enjoy a relaxing meal in an upscale yet casual dining atmosphere.
The above are just a sampling of the restaurants you can enjoy compliments of Rich Melman and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. Melman has been providing excellent dining experiences of all types for over 30 years. He continues to open restaurants with new concepts that he feels his clients will enjoy. While it’s true that his establishments have wandered outside the borders of the Windy City, Chicago will always be home. It’s worth noting that many of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurants are partnerships with the chef / owners, including Café Ba-Ba-Reeba’s Gabino Sotelino.
